Everybody’s favorite witchy drone project, oOoOO, recently shared “Stairway to Heaven,” the world’s most antisocial and foreboding song to ever be considered slightly “cool”, on his Soundcloud. The track is honestly less song and more dissonant sounds laid over the distorted voice of what seems to be an angst-ridden teenage girl talking about her struggles with the conventional path of society vs. “the intellectual path”. It’s hard for her because she’s clearly “a really emotional person,” talking about her father’s funeral song (Stairway to Heaven), and how good it feels to make music, but she just doesn’t ”give a shit about these exams” she has to take today. All in all, this song really isn’t fit for any sort of social situation….but, if you’re alone, at night, in a dark room, and in the mood to be a big, tormented creep – this truly is your go to track.

So that was a lot of overstatements, and I might have mocked it a little, but “Stairway to Heaven” really is a pretty interesting piece of work, and a nice addition to oOoOO’s collection.
